I am now living in the Philippines with my beautiful Filipina wife. <br />I am a kano(causcasion)an American, and the discrimination you speak of towards dark-skinned Pinoys is sadly true.<br /><br />I could not believe the TV ads I see that promote all these products to have a white skin.<br />One poster I saw at SM City even had a Pinay &quot;before&quot; pictue with dark skin, and an &quot;after&quot; picture with white skin, and the star (can&#39;t remember her name) commented how beautiful she looks now since she has been using this whitening product.Unbelievable!<br /><br />I had no idea this was going on until I got here. It is sad. My wife says that is how the majority of the people here think.<br /><br />My wonderful wife is getting darker as each day passes as she likes to work outside in her garden.
