You think it right. I am not lamenting over the death of a person like the self-proclaimed king of pop, Michael Jackson. He may have hit songs during his time but the lawsuit against him divided the world into two sides -- to believe the accusations or not.
I still believe that Jackson was a pervert. A person who was sexually attracted to children. His aggressive actions were unacceptable and have turned me to dislike everything about him and that include his talents.
While most of you are saddened by his death, there is no such emotion in me. Am I happy that he died at the age of 50? I say not at all. His song somehow healed the world and I hope he was healed by it, too.
Various of gaming systems are now soaring high and reaching most households. Each of us has our own favorite when it comes to what game to play as well as the system we use. Some of us enjoys X-box. Others prefer playstation. My nephew is a playstation buff. His family owns most of the game consoles we see in stores but he is really into playstation. The hubby even tried to persuade him to switch to X-box that they could swap games. It didn't work out.
I have not see nor talk to him for months now. He is busy with his business. I bet he slowed down playing with his games, too. More so, I think he did not update his sony playstation yet.

Today, Sunday, is the day intended to honor the dads in our lives. Father's Day is celebrated on the 3rd Sunday of June. Not only America nor Philippines are celebrating on the same date but there are about 50 countries more.
This morning, I woke up with a text message from my mother in the Philippines. Her message was read as "Happy Father's day to Chad (my husband) and Tommy (my father-in-law). So I responded saying "Please tell dadi "Happy Father's Day".
I am not accustomed with that kind of message from either my parents. Both of them gave me and my siblings a tough love. We never say I love you nor sorry to each other. The discipline they exude to us were more like of a "military discipline". My father was once a member of the Philippine Army for 30 years and that explains why. I would not expound what had happened years ago. Bringing up the past somehow ruins my day.
Not all father-daughter relationships are perfect. Mine is not either. My father and I don't talk as often as I do with my siblings. It's not that we are mad at each other. We are merely not that close. When there is a chance, our words towards one another are insufficient. Never receive a text message nor a call from my own father. Since I was a kid, I could barely recall that we bonded. Sometimes I would ask myself "is he really my biological father?" (though we are look alike) or "why I have him as my father"? Hammer my head for such stupid thoughts.
At the back of my mind, I am thinking that my father feels a bit remorse for everything. I could see the softness in his heart but he'd rather keep it himself. Maybe because he don't want his children to tease (the way he does) him back . Despite of everything, I am still thankful for I have a father like him. He's one of the reasons why I become LIRA.
There would come a time that we're both gonna bond. I dunno know when it's gonna happen. It might be next year through my daughter. Who knows? I just hope.

In less than a month from now, the hubby and I are celebrating our second wedding anniversary. It seems to me that we've been married for a very long time. Our first wedding anniversary was a bit odd. We were not able to celebrate it alone instead we had a very exhausting yet a blessed day. Yes, we had our baby two days prior to the supposed to be celebration.
The hubby did not not have time to tend to his gift for me. It is understood that he got so excited plus he had to take care both of his babies (me and our daughter).
This year, I think he's gonna make it so special. I dunno what's in-store for me on that day though.

One of hubby's buddies stopped by this afternoon. They don't see each other as often as the old days. John is now working night shift and the hubby is on day shift.
I remember my first months here. John and the rest of the shift mates including their respective families were so supportive of me. Every occasion or even not, they'd make it a point to stop by, if not we'd go stop at their homes and hang out. They knew I was just a newbie here and needed friends.
Now the shift is no longer intact. MOst of the guys are in to different shifts and divisions. It's arduous to bring back the old days. Too complicated for each other's time (that's why John stopped by during work).
Next month is my daughter's first birthday. I am planning to have a small gathering but I doubt it if everybody would come. Time is holding me back.
How I wish there were no changes at all. If I only I could bring back time...

I have been venting on my blogs about my problem -- weight. For some of you who have not read it, let me share it again.
It started when I got pregnant. I gained too much weight, 17 pounds to be exact. Giving birth and taking care of my baby were I thought the reasons for me to lose weight. Thus, it did not do nothing. Instead, I gained more. So now, I am in the battle of losing it and gaining back the old me.
If you think I have done nothing at all, I regret to tell you but you are wrong. I tried diet but everytime I see ice cream and chocolates during shopping, I can not help myself from buying. Foods help me from the stress of parenting. Adding to that is a plate of rice every meal, basically three times a day. Too much of carbo and sugar made my waist 5 inches bigger. Gym won't work for me either. I can not drive yet and nobody's gonna watch my baby. Too many excuses --valid excuses.
Now, I am challenging myself to work for my weight again. That is through the help of Nustrisystem. I have not started yet. I am planning it as soon as possible.

The scam scandal of actress Katrina Halili and cosmetic surgeon Hayden Kho caused so much blast in the Philippine showbiz industry, government and other sectors.
Let's go from the top. Though I don't have that much information, still I want my expression as a woman, mother and an individual to be written and be read.
About two years ago, Halili and Kho shared a relationship involving sexual intimacy. The actress gave her love and trusted the surgeon believing he was also inlove with her without the knowledge that Kho was filming their shared nights. During the course if their relationship, Kho was/were also involved with the famous celebrity cosmetic surgeon, who is nearly as old as his mother, Dr. Vicki Belo and other celebrities.
So, Halili and Kho's relationship was a lie -- a hidden lie. Later on, Belo was able to discover about his man's affairs. The proofs are the videos stored in Kho's hard drive.
Earlier this year, the sex videos uploaded to different websites were discovered by the public. CD's are also sold in Quiapo. The issue is all over the Philippines and some part of the world.
And now, Halili is seeking justice along with the other (concerned?) politicians. They are in the process of filing various cases against Kho and his mother. Halili's party wants to revoke the surgeons license and pay for the damages done.
Late May, tHe two personalities met in the Senate hearing to give their own speeches and answer one's allegations. According to Kho, he did it under the influence of ecstacy`. He was forced by Halili to use it twice and that Halili had an illegal source. To prove that she didn't use any prohibited drugs, Halili took a drug test and proven negative.
Kho's allegations and speeches are all lies. You are busted man! I have seen this man's interview on TV and he is acting innocent with everything against him. He is pointing different people to answer his psychotic actions. For all I know, he is the one behind all of these. He wants to be the talk of the town. Stupid! Look what you did? You will be liable for everything! hahaha! No mercy for you!
Belo, a woman inlove is still supporting Kho. What a stupid decision. Wake up little woman.
For the Philippine government, why it took years before you have decided to create laws against web pornography? There are so many victims beforehand but you never gave attention to those poor persons. Now you are rushing it because of the celebrities involved. I just hope justice will prevail and not power and money.
Now I'd like to say that I am supporting Halili with this battle.
Couldn't sleep at night? There could be one reason -- bed bugs. This kind of insect is a pest to everyone once it started dwelling our beds. Human blood and other warm-blooded hosts make these pests exist and even double in numbers. THe most annoying part is that bed bug bites are freaking itchy with all the red bumps on the affected areas.
I was a victim back then. Elimination was arduous as my old house had three bedrooms. All were infested. So I decided to burn all the mattresses which cost me a fortune. Afterwhich, I had to do different processes including leaving the house and stay at my parents prior to spraying pesticides. Glad to say that it worked. My old house was free of bedbugs.
So how did I get all those bed bugs? I used to travel a lot when I was working with no bed bugs prevention at all. Didn't know and expected that I brought home bed bugs and fed insects in my house. That was truly a horrible experience for me and I've learned my lesson, that is to bring bed bug bags when I travel or stay in a hotel.
Next year, my family and I are heading to the Philippines for a visit. Bed bugs won't intimidate me from staying in hotels anymore. My 4 pieces of bugzip would shield our luggage. These would play a very important role during the trip. True to what the advertisement is saying, this product is well-made. THe plastic is very shiny and slippery to avoid bed bugs from sticking on the plastic and thick, too. The zipper is tight which I think should be to prevent bugs from getting in.
