Steel buildings save lives and properties

Buildings should be sturdy and durable. Hence, steel is one of the most important elements in the construction.

Structures can be made with various elements. Some are made of pure steel or metal while others are made of either steel, concrete, brick and wood.

Since hurricane is expected mostly every year, steel buildings and brick-structured houses are customary and standard in the South. It is to prevent massive destruction of properties and loses.

I have seen a lot of damages in my locale after Gustav hit the town. I am just lucky I was under a steel building where a 50Mph or so wind couldn't penetrate.
