I am the only one who is awake in our humble home. My daughter and husband are in bed already. Dannielle sleeps around 5 in the afternoon. HUbby has to as well for he is working too early tomorrow. Oh what a great start of the year lol.
There are too many things to look forward to this year. We are excited for Dannielle. We have a lot of plans for her to enjoy. What excites me more is that after this year, we are going back to the Philippines for a visit.
I might take a nap after posting this entry and wake up later when fireworks starts popping.

Cold season strikes again. In my defense, cooking bulalo or beef soup is one of my key to feel warmed without the use of the heater in a couple of minutes.
The hubby likes it as well. He just put aside the vegetables and just take the meats lol.
Adding corn, onions,bell pepper and vegies give this dish a very delightful taste.
Here is how I prepare mine.
1. Cook beef and corn on a cob with broth just until fork-tender. Remove beef and the corn from broth but reserve broth for later.
2. Heat a teaspoon of oil and saute garlic and onions until limp. Add in tenderized beef and simmer for about 20 min.
3. Heat oil and stir-fry vegetables just until crisp-tender. Serve it as a side dish to the meat.

It is arduous if you loss a great person. He was the best Uncle I had. There are so many memories he left in my heart and mind -- our laughters and joys, his unconditional love towards his family, his kindness and respect to others who are not mainly related to him etc. Too many to say... Indeed he is remembered.
On his journey towards the everlasting life, I thought of my mother's common phrase. Everytime there is a misunderstanding between my siblings which sometimes leads to hitting each other, my mother would always say "my brother (our late Uncle) never hurt (physically) us. I never paid attention to it back then. Undeniably, we remained to be rough til we grew apart. Hence, we have changed.
Now that my Uncle is gone, his goodness retains in me. That I won't hit my daughter. That I will be a good example. That I will be like him.
It's sad, yet it ain't my will. No more sorrows for him, yet a triumph against the cruel world he lived in. His battle had come to an end.

My daughter Dannielle wore her pretty Santa dress. She looked so adorable and precious with it. Later on, she was so fussy. I figured out she was not comfortable with it so I had to take it off her. After which, she was smiling and laughing. Now, she's in bed sound asleep.
My husband gave me a very important thing. I already have one but I complained then coz I can barely manipulate it. So he got me a new one which is really really awesome. I am not saying what it is wink. Just a clue...it is for our ( me and daughter) safety when he is not around.

I would say that life has been so relevant to me since I have my baby. She is the best gift I ever received in my entire being. All the achievements I had in the past are not comparable to what I feel now.

Snow in South Louisiana is very rare in history. According to my husband, it happens once every 8 to 10 years.
December 11 was my first snow experience, conspicuously. On that morning, my husband woke me up saying that it's snowing. I did not believe him at first as he is full of crap. So I had to open the door to find out myself and wala! The ground was so white. It was really snowing!
The snow lasted for about a day and a half.

I have posted this on my other blog. I just want to let my friends know what is happening within and beyond me. It's past 2am here and still I am wide awake. THis phase of my life is disturbing me. I am sad yet happy at the same time. Sad cos I won't be seeing him; happy coz he is not suffering anymore.
I dunno exactly how to share it here. All I know is that my heart is broken. Lonesome for someone who was so dear to me. Someone who believed in my capabilities. A person who became my fan -- who used to laugh and smile to every jokes I cracked.
Now, I am regretful. Yes, I happened to talk to him on the phone about two weeks ago and yet, that was not enough. Before I left my home country, Philippines, I did not stop by his house to say goodbye nor see him (for the last time). I was thinking then it's better not to see anyone as it would just hurt my poor heart.
Ahhh...it's arduous to think. I want to go back home. I want to see him for the last days of his remains in this world. I want to spend time with him though he can not see me any longer. I want to make him smile and laugh. I want him to be alive.
It's so painful to say....my Angkol (Uncle) Boy passed away yesterday. He was 56 years old. Though he was not that young yet not that old to leave. I understand he was sick -- asthma , the cause of his sudden death. He suffered from it for ages and lose too much weight.
I am sobbing as I compose this entry. Still can't believe this is happening.
A man born with a giving heart is now with our Father's hands. I am sorry I wasn't able to see you then. Never in my mind it occurred that I won't be seeing you on my visit.

Last week, I received e-mails from my teacher in college and ex-classmate. At first, I was delighted of the thought of the first paragraph of the message. The next paragraphs? you wouldn't want to read it perhaps. They are soliciting for their Christmas party and Thanksgiving for two of their students have passed the board exams.
Whaaaaat? Do I have to spend for their fun? The point is, I am striving as well just to earn and they are just going to spend the money which I have worked hard of having (if in case I'll send) for nonsense. I was in school before and never in the history I asked someone to spend for me nor for my activities.
