There's this one place that I really would want to see. It's the Shangri La Gardens and Nature Center in Orange Texas. I heard so much about this garden and mostly are positive. Here are some informations I gathered from the website. Shangri La Gardens and Nature Center is a 252- acre nature and garden center. It is a program of the Nelda C. and H.J. Lutcher Stark Foundation. It is a private foundation whose mission is to improve and enrich the quality of life in Southeast Texas and encourage and assist education.
The design and construction of Shangri La Botanical Gardens and Nature Center reached the highest green building and performance measures. Shangri La is the first project in Texas and the 50th project in the world to earn the U.S. Green Building Council's Platinum certification for LEED®-NC.
Shangri La's Botanical Gardens itself contain more than 300 plant species. Close or just nearby to the Botanical Gardens is a bird blind. This gives visitors a chance to observe nesting birds in Shangri La’s heronry.
Hands-on exhibit called the Nature Discovery Center, a laboratory, and three outdoor classrooms located deep in the cypress swamp were added for more enjoyment in the Nature Center of Shangri La . There are Exhibit Hall, Discovery Theater, Children’s Garden, Exhibition Greenhouses, Café, and Garden Store in the Orientation Center.
If you are a blogger, Shangri La gives you the chance to get additonal 100$. If you happen to visit Shangri La and have taken pictures, a minimum of three, of yourself at the garden, then you are in. Also, just write about your experience on your stay there. One more thing, you must be verified first before you can get the said reward.
Shangri La is a place for fun, education, realization, family bonding and more. Just visit the website to read more about Shangri La Botanical Gardens.
